Intel Sells RFID Line To Impinj
Santa Clara-based Intel Corporation has sold its RFID operation, a business run by Intel's New Business Initiatives (NBI) indicator, to Seattle-based Impinj. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Impinj said it would acquire the Intel assets to further enhance its position in the RFID market. INtel developed an RFID chip, the R10000, which is used for RFID readers and modules.
