Intel Sells ATCA Assets
Santa Clara-based Intel has sold parts of its modular communications assets business to Oregon-based RadiSys. Intel said Monday that it sold the assets of its ATCA platforms and solutions for $25M, plus $6.75M for inventory and other considerations. Intel's ATCA products are used by the telecommunications industry. Intel said that the sale includes its ATCA compute and packet processing blades, ATCA chassis, and Chassis Management Hardware and Software Modules, AMC module as well as cPCI blades, cPCI chassis, and other legacy systems products.
