Intel Completes Buy Of Qlogic InfiniBand Assets
Intel has completed its acquisition of the Infiniband networking assets of QLogic, which was worth $125M in cash. The deal had earlier been announced by the two firm on January 23rd. QLogic is selling its InfiniBand product line to focus on its othe rproduct lines in the converged networking market. Intel is a significant supplier of InfiniBand technology to the market.
