Autodesk Buys 3D Modeling Software Firm
San Rafael-based Autodesk announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to buy substantially all of the assets of 3D Geo GMbH, a developer of 3D urban modeling software. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Autodesk, 3D Geo develops software used for creating, analyzing, managing and distributiong large-scale geo information. Autodesk said the deal would augment its offerings for the utility, telecom, and state and local government markets.
