Amplyx Pharmaceuticals, a drug development firm developing small molecule drugs, has raised a Series A funding round, worth roughly $700K. The funding came from the Tech Coast Angels and life Science Angels. According to the Tech Coast Angels, an angel investment group in Southern California, the round was led by Life Science Angels, which invested $492,000 in Amplyx, with an additional $289,000 coming from members of the TCA. Amplyx is developing compounds which can help in addressing absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion problems with existing drugs.
