Mountain View-based Broncus Technologies, which is developing medical devices for treating emphysema, said Thursday that it has raised $38M in a Series G Funding. The round was led by Ares Life Sciences AG, which invested $25M in the firm. Other investors in the firm included Abingworth, Bio*One/Singapore, Charter Ventures, HBM BioVentures, JAIC America, Menlo Ventures, Pac-Link Ventures, Saints Capital and Sightline Ventures. According to Broncus, Dr. Beat Merz of Ares Life Sciences joins the board along with the funding.
