Autodesk Buys Simulation Software Firm
San Rafael-based Autodesk, a developer of CAD software, said today that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ALGOR, Inc. for $34M. ALGOR is a developer of analysis and simulation software for product design and development. ALGOR is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and serves customers in the automotive, aerospace, medical, consumer products, defense, energy and utilities industries. Autodesk said that ALGOR will become part of the firm's Manufacturing Solutions business unit.
