Autodesk Buys Bitsquid
San Francisco-based Autodesk said this week that it has acquired Stockholm-based Bitsquid AB, which creates a 3D game engine. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Autodesk said the move will help bolster its expertise in 3D game development and technology. Autodesk will roll out Bitsquid's game engine under the new name, the Autodesk 3D game engine.
