Report: Yahoo To Tap Bartz As CEO
The Wall Street Journal is reporting today that Yahoo is expected to name Carol Bartz, former CEO of Autodesk, as a replacement for founder and CEO Jerry Yang. The paper attributed the information to people familiar with the situation. Yahoo has not issued a statement confirming or denying the move. Bartz is on the boards of Cisco Systems, NetApp, and Intel Corp., and has previously served at Sun Microsystems, Digital Equipment Corporation, and 3M. Bartz was CEO of Autodesk until April of 2006, and remains executive chairman.
