Yahoo Confirms Bartz Appointment
Sunnyvale-based Yahoo has confirmed the appointment of Carol Bartz as the firm's CEO. Yahoo said late Tuesday evening that Bartz, most recently Executive Chairman of Autodesk, has been named CEO and a member of the firm's board of directors. Bartz headed up Autodesk for 14 years before becoming Executive Chairman in 2006. Bartz replaces Jerry Yang. Yahoo also revealed that Sue Decker, the firm's President, will resign from the firm in connection with the appointment of Bartz to CEO.
