Lucid Imagination Gets $6M For Open source
San Mateo-based Lucid Imagination, a developer of open source search software, said this morning that it has raised $6M in a Series A funding. The round came from Granite Ventures and Walden International. Lucid Imagination says it is focused on the Apache Lucene/Solr search technology, which is used by open source developers to create search software. The firm said the funding will go towards expanding technical staff, plus for sales and marketing. Lucid Imagination said it will provide free certified distributions, commercial grade support, training, consulting, and other software focused on Lucene and Solr.
