Walnut Creek-based Beyond Lucid, a developer of software for managing emergency medical, disaster management, and first response health records, said last week that it has raised a funding round. Size of the round was not disclosed. The round came from Carnegie Mellon university, via the Open Field Entrepreneurs Fund. The Open Field Entrepreneurs Fund was founded by Jonathan Kaplan, the creator of the "Flip" Camera. Beyond Lucid is headed by Jonathan Feit.
