ViVOtech, which develops technology for contactless payment systems, said Sunday that the firm has raised another $8.6M in an extension of the firm's Series C funding round. According to the firm, the round came from existing investors. ViVOtech said the funding brings the company's total raised to more than $40M in its Series C. ViVOtech has previously scored funding from Alloy Ventures, Citi, Draper Fischer Jurvetson, DFJ Gotham, First Data, Miven Ventures, Motorola Ventures, NCR, and Nokia Growth Partners.
