Foxmarks Launches Web Discovery Service
San Francisco-based Foxmarks, which is developing bookmark syncrhonization and recommendations software, said today that it has launched a new web discovery service called Xmarks. The firm--which was founded by Todd Agulnick and former Lotus founder Mitch Kapor--said it service will allow users to discover the "best sites on the Web" based on what people are bookmarking. Foxmarks' service uses data gathered from its Firefox browser add-on to power its site; the firm said it expects to support Internet Explorer and Safari in early Q2 with add-ons.
