Gazillion, Marvel Partner On Massively Multiplayer Games
San Mateo-based Gazillion Entertainment said this morning that the firm has signed a partnership with Marvel Entertainment to develop massively multiplayer online (MMO) games. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Gazillion--which has been operates stealthily as NR2B Research--it has created four development studios made up with a team from Apple, Blizzard Entertainment, Microsoft Game Studios, Pixar Animation Studios and other firms. The firm is venture backed by Hearst Corp., Oak Investment Partners, and Revolution Ventures.
