Xilinx Cuts 200
San Jose-based
Xilinx
, a manufacturer of programmable gate arrays, said this week that the firm is cutting 200 positions, or 6 percent of the firm's workforce. The firm said that it will also reduce executive salaries and freeze employee salaries. The move came as the firm looks to "drive structural operating efficiencies" at the firm. The firm said it hopes to save $4 to $5 million per quarter from the cuts, beginning in June.
