San Jose-based programmable logic provider Xilinx said this morning that it has acquired PetaLogix, a developer of embedded Linux software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Xilinx said the buy would help strengthen its capabilities. PetaLogix develops embedded Linux products specifically for Xilinx FPGAs. The PetaLinux Embedded Linux SDK provides all of the tools needed to build, develop, test and deploy embedded Linux based projects targeting Xilinx FPGAs and Zynq-7000 programable SoCs.
