Ausra, a developer of solar thermal energy systems, said late Tuesday evening that it has landed another $25.5M in equity funding. According to the firm, the funding came from Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, KERN Partners, Generation Investment Management, and Starfish Ventures. The firm said the funding will go towards expansion and acceleration of the firm's solar thermal energy equipment supply business.
