San Jose-based mixed-signal semiconductor manufacturer Integrated Device Technology announced this morning that it has acquired Leadis Technology Inc.'s touch sensor technology assets. Financial terms of the deal, which IDT said closed Wednesday, were not disclosed. The San Jose-based firm said it will also acquire Leadis' touch sensor intellectual property and hire its related employee teams. Dr. Ted Tewksbury, IDT's president and chief executive, said the acquisition complements his company's existing audio, video, timing and power technologies and will enable IDT to address a broader range of multimedia applications. Leadis Technology is headquartered in Sunnyvale.
