DeviceVM is looking to the founders of Altiris, who are now running business consulting firm SageCreek, the firm said today. DeviceVM, which makes the SplashTop "instant on" software which allows operating systems to boot almost instantly, instead of taking several minutes, said Monday that it has engaged SageCreek Partners to help it tackle the enterprise market. SageCreek is headed by Altiris CEO Greg Butterfield, along with other ex-Altiris executives. Altiris was acquired by Symantec in 2007. DeviceVM is venture backed by New Enterprise Associates, Storm Ventures, DFJ Dragon, and Tim Draper and Larry Augustin.
