Apple has announced the date for shipment of the firm's Mac OS X v10.6, Snow Leopard. The firm said today that the upgraded OS will go on sale Friday, August 28th at the firm's retail stores, retailers, and online store. Among enhancements to the OS are a more responsive Finder and Mail applications, faster backups with Time Machine, and an upgraded version of Safari.
