eBay Sells Skype For $2.75 Billion
San Jose-based eBay confirmed this morning that it has sold its Skype Communications unit for $2.75 billion. The buyer included a investor group led by Silver Lake, Index Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, and the Canadian Pension Plan (CPP) Investment Board. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter.
