WiChorus Acquired By Tellabs
San Jose-based WiChorus, a developer of 4G, telecom infrastructure, has been acquired by Tellabs, Tellabs announced Thursday. Tellabs said it will pay approximately $165M in net cash for WiChorus, creating a company with over 3,250 employees. WiChorus is venture backed by Accel Partners, Mayfieldm and Redpoint Ventures, and had raised somewhere around $41M in venture funding.
