Eventbrite has confirmed it has raised a Series C funding round, bringing the firm's funding to $8M. The funding had been disclosed in a regulatory filing last Wednesday. Eventbrite said that the funding came from Sequoia Capital, with partner Roelof Botha joining as a director as part of the funding. Eventbrite operates an online event planning site which allows organizations to plan and host events, including sales of tickets. The firm has previously raised funding from Bebo's Michael and Xochi Birch, Jeff Clavier, YouTube's Jawed Karim, David Sacks, Keith rabois, Ron Conway, and Flixster's Saran Chari and Joe Greenstein.
