Seesmic, a developer of a social applications dashboard, said today that it has acquired Ping.fm, a developer of a service which allows users to update multiple, social networking sites and services. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. As part of the acquisition, Seesmic is hiring Ping.fm co-founders Adam Duffy and Sean McCullough. Ping.fm was backed by Reid Hoffman and Joi Ito.
