HootSuite Acquires Seesmic
Social media management software firm HootSuite is acquiring San Francisco competitor Seesmic, the two companies announced today, and plans to transition Seesmic's business users to HootSuite's social media management tools. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Seesmic was founded by Loic Le Meur in 2008, and was backed by Atomico, Omidyar Network, Salesforce.com, and SoftBank Capital, along with a long list of angels.
