San Francisco-based Mashery, a developer of application programming interface (API) infrastructure, said Thursday that it has raised $5.5M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Cisco, and also included prior investors Formative Ventures, First Round Capital and 406 Ventures. According to Mashery, the funding will go to expands its product, sales, and marketing. Mashery develops online tools to help companies create their own application programming interfaces to their various services and software.
