RainStor Collects $7.5M

, a developer of software for archiving data, announced today that it has raised $7.5M in a Series B funding. The funding came from Storm Ventures, Informatica, as well as existing investors Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures and The Dow Chemical Company. Storm Ventures' Tim Danford joins the company's board along with the funding. RainSTor said the new funding will go towards expansion into new markets, grow its partner base, and for product development and R&D. developer of software for archiving data
