San Francisco-based
RainStor, which provides online, big data archiving software for Hadoop installations, has been acquired by
Teradata. Financial terms of the buy were not announced. RainStor was venture backed by Credit Suisse, Doughty Hansen Technology Ventures, Dow Chemical, Informatica, Rogers Partners, and Storm Ventures. Teradata said that the majority of RainStor employees will remain in San Francisco and Gloucester, U.K.
