Yahoo Buys Citizen Sports
Sunnyvale-based Yahoo announced today that it has acquired San Francisco-based Citizen Sports, which operates an online social ntworking site focused on sports fans. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Citizen Sports was founded by Mike Kerns and Jeff Ma in 2004. Yahoo said the buy will strengthen its social strategy. Citizen Sports provides social and mobile access to sports news and scores.
