Salesforce.com, VMware Link on Java Cloud Effort
San Francisco-based Salesforce.com, and Palo Alto-based VMware announced this morning that the two are launching a joint effort to enable Java developers to connect to the Force.com platform. Accordng to the two, the strategic alliance will focus on the launch of VMforce, which will use new technology from VMware which allows Java developers to connect into Salesforce.com's Force.com cloud. Financial terms of the alliance were not disclosed.
