Mocana Gets Funding From Symantec
San Francisco-based Mocana, a developer of security software for mobile devices, said today that it has closed a strategic round of funding. The Series C round came from Symantec, Southern Cross Venture Partners, and Shasta Ventures. According to Mocana, the new funding will go to expand its product lines, for international build out, and for marketing activities. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. A representative from Symantec takes a board seat along with the funding.
