eSilicon Buys Silicon Design Solutions
Sunnyvale-based eSilicon, a provider of services for the semiconductor industry, said today that it has acquired Silicon Design Solutions in an asset deal. eSilicon said the acquisition will help the firm expand its engineering presence in Asia. Silicon Design Solutions provides niche semiconductor memory intellectual property (IP) and design services to manufacturers and designers of systems-on-a-chip (SoCs). Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed.
