eSilicon, a provider of semiconductor services, said today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of
Silicon Design Solutions, a provider of semiconductor IP cores based in Milpitas. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to eSilicon, the acquisition will expand its customer base and potential for design wins. eSilicon says it helps foundries, IP and service providers, EDA suppliers, package, assembly and test operations in designing and producing chips for fabless IC, IDM and OEM companies.
