Maven Research Gets $1M In Seed Funding
San Francisco-based Maven Research, which operates an online marketplace for industry experts, said today that it has completed a $1M seed financing round. The firm said it is enabling "micro-consulting" by experts to venture capital and private equity firms. The funding came from Accel partners, as well as Edward Zander (Sun Microsystems, Motorola), Patrick McKenna (Keniks), William Krepick (Macrovision), and Jeremie Bacon (Backstop Solutions). Maven's site allows firms to research the market by talking to professionals in the industry.
