Felicis Ventures, the angel investment fund run by Aydin Senkut, said today that it has raised a new, $40M "Super Angel" fund. According to Senkut, the fund will focus on early stage companies with "breakthrough" Internet and mobile technologies. the fund claims it was oversubscribed by 33 percent, and is more than 90 percent institutional funds. Felicis said it already has made more than 60 investment in companies, with fifteen of those firms having been sold. The fund said that institutional investors in the fund include Flag Capital and Weathergage Capital. Individual investors in the fund include Peter Thiel, Joshua Schachter, and Paul Buchheit.
