ServerEngines Buy Completes
The acquisition of Sunnyvale-based ServerEngines has completed, according to acquiring firm Emulex. ServerEngines is a maker of 10Gb/s Ethernet ASICs used for LAN-on-motherboard applications. The deal was worth $78M in cash, plus eight million shares of Emulex stock, or approximately $149.6M. 165 of ServerEngines employees are joining Emulex as part of the acquisition. ServerEngines was founed in 2004. Emulex is based in Costa Mesa, California.
