HP Buys ArcSight
Palo Alto-based HP said today that it is in a definitive agreement to acquire Cupertino-based ArcSight, a developer of security and compliance management software, in a deal worth $1.5 billion. According to HP, it will pay $43.50 per share for ArcSight, a developer of software used for monitoring IT operations, security, and compliance in the enterprise.
