Palo Alto-based HP announced this morning that it has completed its tender offer for ArcSight, and now expects the acquisition to complete within the next several days. HP said it paid $43.50 per share in cash for ArcSight's outstanding shares. HP announced on September 13th that it would buy ArcSight, a developer of security and compliance software, in a deal worth $1.5 billion. ArcSight's tools are used for monitoring IT operations, security, and compliance in the enterprise.
