MaxiScale Acquired By Overland Storage
Sunnyvale-based Maxiscale, a developer of scalable file storage technology, has been acquired by Overland Storage. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. MaxiScale was venture backed by New Enterprise Associates, El Dorado Ventures, and Silicon Valley Bank, and had raised $25M in funding. Overland said it would acquire MaxiScale's assets, intellectual property and key members of its engineering team.
