Oracle Buys ATG
Redwood Shores-based Oracle is acquiring Art Technology Group (ATG), a maker of e-commerce and related software. The deal is worth approximately $1.0 billion, or $6.00 per share in cash. According to ATG, the deal is expected to close by early 2011. Oracle said the buy would further its strateg of delivering industry-specific enterprise applications. ATG is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
