AeroScout, a firm that develops enterprise software which uses Wi-Fi and RFID to track assets, said today that it has raised $16M in a new venture financing round. The round was led by Evergreen Venture Partners, and also included prior investors Cisco, Greylock Partners, Intel Capital, Menlo Ventures, Pitango Venture Capital and Star Ventures. The firm said the funding goes toward expansion, sales and marketing, as well as product. The company says it has more than 600 customers worldwide using its systems to manage real-time visibility on assets and people.
