OCZ Technology Buys IP From Solid Data
San Jose-based OCZ Technology Group, a developer of solid state disk drives, announced Monday that it has acquired intellectual property assets from Santa Clara-based Solid Data Inc.. OCZ said it pa8id approximately $950,000 in cash and stock for the assets, which include DRAM-based and Fibre-Channel-based SSD controller technology. OCZ said it will use the IP to develop FC-based SSDs and low-latency DRAM/Flash hybrid solutions.
