Sandforce, a developer of processors used to develop solid state disks (SSDs), said Tuesday that it has raised $21M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by TransLink Capital, and also included UMC Capital, LSI Corporation, Red Maple Ventures, Darwin Ventures, A-Data Technology, DCM, Storm Ventures, an un-named storage OEMs. SandForce develops semiconductors used to develop solid state disk drives using NAND flash. The firm said the funding will go towards expansion and product development.
