Rovi, Sonic Solutions Pass Hart-Scott-Rodino
Santa Clara-based Rovi and Novato-based Sonic Solutions said Monday that the two firms have had an early termination of their Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period from the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Justice. The two said the acquisition of Sonic Solutions by Rovi still remains subject to other closing conditions. Rovi said it would by Sonic Solutions on December 23rd, in a deal worth $720M.
