Xilinx Buys AutoESL
San Jose-based Xilinx said this morning that it has acquired AutoESL Design Technologies, a developer of high level synthesis software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. AutoESL develops software which allows semiconductor designers to abstract their designs in C, C++, and System C languages. The firm was a spinout of the University of California, Los Angeles.
