Jive Buys Proximal Labs
Palo Alto-based Jive Software, which develops social networking software for businesses, said today that it has acquired Proximal Labs. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Proximal Labs develops data mining software used to improve online communities. Proximal Labs co-founder and CEO, David Gutelius, become's Jive's Chief Social Scientist. Jive is venture backed by Sequoia Capital and Kleiner Perkins.
