Encoding.com, an operator of an online, service for encoding videos into different web and mobile formats, has raised $2.0M in a new funding round. The round was led Metamorphic Venturs, and also included angel investors Patrick Condon (Rackspace), John Engates (Rackspace), and Dave Morgan (Simulmedia/TACODA/Real Media). Encoding.com has offices in San Francisco and Denver. Encoding.com also runs the Vid.ly universal video URL service.
