Google Maps Adds Downloadable Maps For Android
Google said today that it has added the capability to download offline maps in its Android app. Google said the capability allows users of the Google Maps for Android app to pre-load maps for an area, for use even if users do not have a data signal or data plan. The new feature is available in the Download map area from Google Labs in Google Maps 5.7 for Android.
