MapR Technologies Gathers $20M
San Jose-based MapR Technologies, which develops a version of open source distributed computing software Apache Hadoop, said today that it has raised $20M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Redpoint Ventures, and also included prior investors Lightspeed Venture Partners and New Enterprise Associates. The firm said the funding will go towards accelerating its growth and scaling its operations. MapR is headed by John Schroeder.
